Buffalo Steakhouse

Buffalo Steakhouse

Buffalo Steakhouse. A serious name for a serious game: the enthusiastic consumptions of thick slabs of deliciously seared animal flesh. Buffalo is next logical step in the fairly recent development of a genuine kosher steakhouse culture in Jerusalem: augment all that red meat with carefully considered and thematically appropriate modernist décor. Red wood walls and tables form a pleasing geometry and complementary color, and the seats are coated with a similarly red shade of leather.

You can't seethe a kid in its mother's milk, but you can eat a steak on a cowhide seat. Aside from the full range of prime cuts of meat - none of which are buffalo, coincidentally - Buffalo offers burgers, wings, beef stew and a token vegetarian dish: gnocchi. Classic sides include baked potato, mashed potatoes, and fries. Sides for people who don't like to enjoy life include grilled vegetables and rice. But now to the burning question for any Israeli steakhouse: does it have entrecote? (Yes. Yes it does.)
